Oreo Balls
Every time I bring Oreo Balls to a family function, they disappear. They are the only dessert food that is gone by the end…or sometimes within an hour. With only three ingredients and no baking required, they are an easy crowd-pleaser.
Oreo Balls are a very rich, special occasion indulgence that I only make twice a year. They are very similar to cake pops, but I don’t serve them on a stick. I have yet to master making the candy coating look smooth and beautiful. No one notices their appearance; they simply love the way they taste.
This recipe makes plenty to go around, but if you have a large gathering, you can always double it.

Ingredients
-Makes approx. 32-36 balls
1 package of Family Size Oreo Cookies
8 oz package of Plain Cream Cheese
16 oz package of Vanilla Candy Coating
Optional- Sprinkles for decorating
Directions
Crush the Oreo cookies into an almost powder consistency. I used a food processor, but you can also put the Oreos into a Ziplock bag and crush them with a large spoon.
Transfer the crushed Oreos to a large bowl and add the cream cheese. Thoroughly mix the cream cheese and Oreos until the mixture is doughy. Using your hands works best. If you don’t like getting your hands dirty, you can use food prep gloves.
Form 1-inch balls with the dough and place in the freezer to chill.
While the balls are chilling, melt the Vanilla Candy Coating in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in increments of 20-30 seconds until smooth.
Take 4-6 balls out of the freezer at a time to dip into the candy coating. This helps keep their form. Dip each ball into the candy coating to cover, lightly tap off any excess into the bowl, and place on parchment paper to cool and harden. I use a wooden stick to dip the balls into the coating and remove them from the stick onto the parchment. I cover any open spots with more candy coating and sprinkle on sprinkles before they completely cool.
Place the coated Oreo Balls into the fridge until ready to serve.
There are many ways to make these your own. Use a chocolate coating, decorate with edible flowers, or use different flavored Oreos. Anything you choose they are sure to be a hit at your next gathering!
