Large Toy Storage - Gabby’s Dollhouse

Gabby’s Dollhouse has overtaken our house. While my daughter doesn’t have every single playset they have made, it’s pretty close. It’s one of the few toy sets that she continues to play with, and with the movie coming out in September, I know we will be adding to her collection.

The toys are great for open-ended play, and hearing her little voice imitating the characters brings so much joy, but they do take up quite a bit of room. For the longest time, I kept them on our living room floor, accumulating cat hair and crumbs in the nooks of each playset. Our most mischievous cat would bat the characters across the room and under the couch. I could no longer do a quick vacuum; I’d have to pick up all the small pieces and move the large houses, knocking over everything my daughter had set up. I wanted them off the floor, but still playable.

I found the perfect storage solution:

a t.v. stand.

The larger dollhouses and playsets fit nicely on top, while the drawers and cabinets hold all the accessories. My daughter is tall enough to reach everything but the top levels, so we have her stand on her foam play couch during playtime. She can play, leave the rooms set up the way she likes, and I can easily clean the area. It is perfect!

That micheivious cat still manages to swipe a character or two…..but, we’re working on it.
