Bag Charms.

Anyone else a hoarder of small trinkets and beads? In my late teens, I worked at a craft store and began accumulating charms, beads, and other small items in the hopes of creating something with them. 20 years later, and I still have a box full of them unused.

I recently saw the trend of adding charms to a purse or tote bag. Anything from beads to ribbons to key chains can be used. Finally, I have a use for some of those trinkets. Seeing the layers of chains and colors brought back memories of teenage life in the early 2000s. Gathering as many keychains from Claire’s as possible, maybe even putting them on a lanyard, was a big trend. We never lost our keys and didn’t mind the large dangling mess hitting our thighs as we drove.

The added charm decor on a purse is a more sophisticated but still a fun nod to those early years, and a great way to express your style.

If you don’t have your own stash of charms, you can buy different trinkets at garage sales or buy premade ones on Etsy like these from Limeteart.

So go ahead and add some fun to your bag!
